HKEX: OTC Clear Obtains License From Financial Services Agency Of Japan, And Welcomes New Clearing Member

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is pleased to announce that its central counterparty subsidiary, OTC Clearing Hong Kong Limited (OTC Clear), has received approval to offer client clearing services to banks in Japan, opening up a new region of opportunity for the provider of over-the-counter derivatives clearing and settlement services.

Today, the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) launch a public consultation on the Network Codes Functionality (FUNC) issue: missing harmonisation of interfaces on capacity platforms. The consultation will be open until 14 February 2020.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index ended 2019 at 1,579.84 points, up 1 percent from the previous year, while the average daily trading value of SET and Market for Alternative Investment (mai) in 2019 fell 7 percent to THB 53.19 billion (USD 1.77 billion). In tandem with most ASEAN peers, foreign investors were net sellers of THB 44.79 billion worth of Thai shares in 2019, lower than a year earlier.

Astana International Exchange (“AIX”, “Exchange”) is pleased to announce that ordinary shares of Ferro-Alloy Resources Limited (“FAR”) have been included to the AIX official list effective January 6, 2020. Secondary trading is expected to start shortly. Dubai Financial Services Authority Takes Action Against Morgan Gatsby Limited For Multiple Serious Breaches

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) today announced that it has fined Morgan Gatsby Limited (MGL), approximately USD 246,000 (approx. AED 900,000), for multiple serious breaches of DFSA legislation. The DFSA had previously suspended MGL’s licence on 8 November 2018 due to concerns regarding MGL’s non-compliance with DFSA legislation.
