I want to thank Eric Litvack, Scott O’Malia, and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (“ISDA”) for inviting me to join you today. Clarida, At The "Fed Listens: Distributional Consequences Of The Cycle And Monetary Policy" Conference Hosted By The Opportunity And Inclusive Growth Institute, Federal Reserve Bank Of Minneapolis, Minneapolis, Minnesota

I am pleased to attend this Fed Listens event on the distributional consequences of the business cycle and monetary policy. The Opportunity and Inclusive Growth Institute at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is a natural venue for discussing this topic in the context of the broad review of our monetary policy framework that we are undertaking this year. In our review, we are examining the policy strategy, tools, and communication practices that the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) uses to pursue the Fed's dual-mandate goals of maximum employment and price stability. I will speak this evening about the motivation for and scope of our review. We are bringing open minds to it and are seeking perspectives from a broad range of interested individuals and groups, such as the panel of researchers we heard from this afternoon and the community leaders we will hear from tomorrow. To us, it simply seems like good institutional practice to engage broadly with the public in this review as part of a comprehensive approach to enhanced transparency and accountability.
Basel Committee Issues A Consolidated Version Of Its Standards

Today the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision launched a new section of its website that sets out a consolidated version of its global standards for the regulation and supervision of banks. The consolidated framework aims to improve the accessibility of the Basel Committee's standards and to promote their consistent global interpretation and implementation.
Nasdaq Announces End-Of-Month Open Short Interest Positions In Nasdaq Stocks As Of Settlement Date March 29, 2019

At the end of the settlement date of March 29, 2019, short interest in 2,357 Nasdaq Global Market^SM securities totaled 7,861,097,225 shares compared with 7,804,885,951 shares in 2,359 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of March 15, 2019. The end-of-March short interest represents 4.12 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 3.71 days for the prior reporting period.
US Department Of Justice: Former Associate General Counsel Of Seaworld Entertainment, Inc. Pleads Guilty To Insider Trading

The former associate general counsel and assistant secretary of SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. (SeaWorld), a publicly traded amusement park corporation headquartered in Orlando, Florida, pleaded guilty today for his role in an insider-trading scheme.

Top 20 Firms Collected Nearly $160 Billion In Initial Margin At Year-End 2018, Survey Finds

Digital Asset And ISDA Introduce Tool To Help Drive Adoption Of ISDA CDM

Digital Asset has today announced that it is working with ISDA to develop an open-source reference code library that will help derivatives market participants adopt the ISDA Common Domain Model (CDM). This new tool will assist developers in implementing the ISDA CDM in solutions for trading and managing derivatives via DAML, the smart contract language created by Digital Asset.
