"Shenzhen Stock Exchange · Chuangxianghui" Held Special Event On Synthetic Biology Industry To Promote The Development Of New Quality Productive Forces In Line With Local Conditions

Developing new quality productive forces is an inherent requirement and important focus for promoting high-quality development. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee emphasized that "high-quality development is the primary task in building China into a modern socialist country in all respects" and "we will improve the institutions and mechanisms for fostering new quality productive forces in line with local conditions". On July 24, SZSE held the 17th session of the "Chuangxianghui" event, focusing on the development of the synthetic biology industry. Representatives from listed companies in the synthetic biology field such as BGI, Chuanning Biotechnology, Kanghong Pharmaceutical, Sanyuan Biotechnology, Weiguang Biological Products, Jincheng Pharmaceutical, Huaheng Biotechnology, were invited. Representatives from Shenzhen's private equity funds for synthetic biology, China Construction Bank, as well as research institutions such as the Institute of Synthetic Biology of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, also attended. They discussed the development of the synthetic biology industry and how to support sci-tech self-reliance and self-strengthening at higher levels to help cultivate and strengthen new quality productive forces.

Bursa Malaysia Announces RM155.5 Million Profit After Tax, Zakat And Minority Interest For The First Half Of 2024 - Declares Interim Dividend Of 18 Sen Per Share

Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia” or the “Exchange”) recorded Profit After Tax, Zakat and Minority Interest (“PATAMI”) of RM155.5 million for the first half of the year ended 30 June 2024 (“1H2024”). This represents an increase of 17.4% from RM132.4 million recorded for the first half ended 30 June 2023 (“1H2023”). The increase in PATAMI is attributed to a 29.3% increase in operating revenue to RM374.5 million in 1H2024 from RM289.6 million in 1H2023.

During the consolidated cumulative first quarter (from April 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024), JPX Group recorded operating revenue of ¥40,328 million (increased 9.1% from the same period of the previous fiscal year (i.e., year on year)), and operating expenses were ¥17,510 million (increased 2.2% year on year). As a result, JPX Group recorded operating income of ¥23,291 million (decreased 7.0% year on year) and income before income tax of ¥23,293 million (decreased 7.1% year on year).
