  • Deutsche Bank Outlines Significant Strategic Transformation And Restructuring Plans

    As part of its ongoing commitment to improve long-term profitability and returns to shareholders, Deutsche Bank’s Management Board announces a series of measures to restructure the bank’s operations. These measures include:

    The exit of Global Equities and a significant reduction in Corporate and Investment Banking risk weighted assets

    Deutsche Bank will exit its Equities Sales & Trading business, while retaining a focused equity capital markets operation. In addition, the bank plans to resize its Fixed Income operations in particular its Rates business and will accelerate the wind-down of its existing non-strategic portfolio. In aggregate, Deutsche Bank will reduce risk-weighted assets currently allocated to these businesses by approximately 40%.

    Qatar Stock Exchange delegation led by CEO Mr. Rashid Bin Ali Al Mansoori met with the Chairman of Shanghai Stock Exchange Mr. Huang Hongyuan along with senior officials from Shanghai Stock Exchange. Matters related to mutual cooperation and strategic developments were discussed during the meeting. The parties agreed to explore and identify mutually beneficial areas of cooperation to potentially sign an MoU in the near future.

    The Management Committee of Financial Information has decided to make changes to the index baskets on the basis of a recommendation from the Index Commission and in compliance with the SMI®, SLI®, SPI® and SXI® index rules. The indices will be adjusted on 20 September 2019 after closing. The adjustment takes effect on 23 September 2019.

This report⁠—called the Monetary Policy Report⁠—is submitted semiannually to the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and to the House Committee on Financial Services, along with testimony from the Federal Reserve Board Chair.
