EEX And Powernext Intend To Offer Power Derivatives And Gas Markets Under One Exchange License - Integration Of Powernext Into EEX Intended As Of 1 January 2020

The European Energy Exchange (EEX) intends to merge Powernext activities into EEX on 1 January 2020, subject to the required approvals. Through the integration of Powernext into EEX, the exchange will offer all products at one single market place while simplifying the admissions of new participants. Members will be able to easily trade a larger EEX portfolio including natural gas, power and emission allowances.

First Batch Of Commodity Futures ETFs To Be Listed On Shenzhen Stock Exchange

Recently, the first batch of domestic commodity futures ETFs, including ChinaAMC Soybean Meal Futures ETF, CCB Principal Asset Management Esunny ZCE Energy & Chemical Futures ETF, Dacheng Fund Non-ferrous Metal Futures ETF, was approved by the CSRC for registration and will be listed on SZSE. In general, commodity futures ETFs track the price index of commodity futures and invest in futures contracts included in the corresponding index. The above three commodity futures ETFs track Dalian Commodity Exchange Soybean Meal Futures Index, Esunny Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange Energy & Chemical index A, and Shanghai Futures Exchange Non-ferrous Metals Futures Index, respectively.

- Decrease of the value of trading in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the GPW Main Market by 4.0% YoY to PLN 16.2 billion in August 2019
- Increase in the average daily value of trading in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the Main Market by 0.6% YoY to PLN 771.8 million in August 2019
- Increase of the total volume of trading in derivatives by 20.9% YoY to 643.9 thousand contracts in August 2019
- Increase of the total volume of trading in electricity by 18.4% to 21.2 TWh in August 2019
- Increase of the total volume of trading in gas by 6.6% YoY to 14.9 TWh in August 2019
