SIX Survey Reveals Industry Need For Automated Corporate Actions Solutions

There is a great industry need for automated corporate actions solutions, according to a survey by SIX conducted among leading global asset managers, wealth managers, custodians, clearing houses and investment banks. The survey was carried out from April to June 2020 to analyse their current corporate actions’ operational and technology challenges and opportunities.

Recently, the prices of a small number of ChiNext Board-listed stocks with small circulation market capitalization, low prices, and poor fundamentals such as Tianshan Bio, Sino Diamond, and Changfang Group have risen rapidly in a short term, revealing a relatively prominent speculation, which has attracted great attention from the market. On August 27, Tianshan Bio reached the severe abnormal fluctuation threshold. Therefore, SZSE required the company to suspend trading for inspection in accordance with the ChiNext Board listing rules and continues to impose intensive monitoring on trading of the stock.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today issued guidelines to strengthen the accountability of senior managers in key functions in financial institutions (FIs) and to promote ethical behaviour in FIs. The guidelines were accompanied by an information paper on good practices in these areas.

Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges and clearing houses and provider of data and listings services, announced today that Ellie Mae Parent, LP, an entity controlled by Thoma Bravo (the “selling stockholder”), intends to offer for sale in an underwritten secondary offering 9,180,568 shares of ICE’s common stock pursuant to ICE’s shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The shares being offered were originally issued to the selling stockholder in connection with the acquisition of Ellie Mae, Inc., which ICE completed on September 4, 2020.
