  • Shanghai Stock Exchange Held The Global Investors Conference 2019

    Organized by the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and supported by the Shanghai Municipal Financial Services Bureau, the "SSE Global Investors Conference 2019" was held in Shanghai on October 31. Attending the opening ceremony and delivering speeches were Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, and Huang Hongyuan, Chairman of the SSE. Also present at the conference and making remarks were the representatives of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE), the National Council for Social Security Fund, the Shanghai Municipal Financial Services Bureau, the Securities Association of China, and the Asset Management Association of China as well as well-known market institutions from home and abroad. The conference also attracted the participation of the investment and trading business chiefs of nearly 300 domestic and overseas professional investment institutions.

    Owing to the end of daylight saving time in the United States on November 03, 2019, B3 will change the trading hours for its exchange and organized OTC markets as of November 04, 2019, in accordance with timetables set out in the Annex to this Circular Letter 070-2019-PRE.

    • European equities ended October in positive territory, despite concerns about slowing economic growth in the Eurozone and continued Brexit uncertainty. 
    • Progress in negotiations between the U.K. and E.U. lifted the pound sterling, which weighed on export-focused U.K. equities. 
    • Bond yields ticked up across the board in Europe, pulling down European fixed income indices, while the European Central Bank held rates steady at its October interest rate policy meeting.
