Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission: Former Staff Of Hong Kong Television Network Limited Jailed For Insider Dealing

The Eastern Magistrates' Court today sentenced Mr Ken Yiu Ka Lun to two and a half months of imprisonment after he was convicted of insider dealing in the shares of Hong Kong Television Network Limited (HKTV) in a prosecution brought by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).

Shanghai Stock Exchange Promulgates “Information Disclosure Guidelines For Interim Reports On Asset-backed Securities”

In recent years, the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) has continuously improved the fundamental system of asset-backed securities, strengthened front-line regulation and risk prevention and control, and maintained high-quality and stable development of the corporate asset securitization business, with the capacity for serving the real economy constantly strengthened. In order to further enhance the system of market rules for asset securitization, improve the quality of information disclosure for asset-backed securities, and effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interest of investors, the SSE issued and implemented the “Information Disclosure Guidelines for Interim Reports on Asset-backed Securities” (the “Guidelines” for short) on November 1 based on earnestly summarizing the practical experience and extensively listening to the opinions in the market.

Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission Obtains Court Orders Against Former Chairman And Directors Of Minth Group Limited

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has obtained an order in the Court of First Instance against Mr Chin Jong Hwa, the former Chairman and Executive Director of Minth Group Limited (Minth), ordering him to pay a sum of RMB 20.3 million as compensation to Minth’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Decade (HK) Limited (Decade), following findings of misconduct in connection with the loss suffered by Decade in the acquisition of two companies in 2008.

EuroCCP Goes Live With Frankfurt Stock Exchange

EuroCCP, Europe’s leading equities clearing house, today announced that it will clear trades executed on Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse (FWB), the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, starting November 11, 2019. EuroCCP’s clearing services are now available on a preferred CCP basis for trades in cash equities and ETFs executed on Xetra© (MIC: XETR) for the first time.
