    Good morning.  This is an open meeting of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on January 8, 2020, under the Government in the Sunshine Act.  The Commission today will consider a staff recommendation to issue for public comment a Proposed Order that would require self-regulatory organizations to propose a new national market system plan to govern the public dissemination of real-time, consolidated market data for NMS stocks.

    In January 2020, Mr. Christian Pilgaard Zinglersen, newly appointed Director of the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER), began his mandate. Dr Jochen Penker, the newly-elected Chair of the Agency’s Administrative Board, will soon begin his mandate. This change of management comes at a particularly crucial moment, as in 2020 the Agency will strongly focus on the implementation of the Clean Energy Package and on its enhanced tasks and responsibilities. As such, the Agency will also contribute to Europe’s decarbonisation efforts and the goals of the European Green Deal.
