UK Financial Conduct Authority: Strong Customer Authentication And Coronavirus

In the exceptional circumstances of the Covid crisis, we are giving the industry an additional 6 months to implement strong customer authentication (SCA) for e-commerce. This will minimise potential disruption to consumers and merchants. The new timeline of 14 September 2021 replaces the 14 March 2021 date.

ACER Launches Consultation To Integrate Further Electricity Balancing Between Denmark, Finland, Sweden And Norway

The European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) launches today a public consultation in accordance with the EU Regulation establishing a Guideline on Electricity Balancing, which aims to further integrate the EU balancing markets regionally. It refers to the methodologies needed to create a common Nordic automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve (aFRR) Balancing Capacity Market for Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway.

FCA Third-Party Reviews Spike 68% In 2019/2020 Compared To Year Before – Financial Crime Is Still A Key Focus, Says Duff & Phelps

Figures released by the FCA about Skilled Persons Reports that were analysed by Duff & Phelps, the global advisor that protects, restores and maximises value for clients, revealed several important findings. The data shows that the regulator ordered 24 Skilled Person Reports in Q4 2019/2020. This brought the total for the year to 57, a 68% increase from 2018/2019 when only 34 reports were commissioned. That 2019/2020 figure represents the highest annual number of reports since 2012/13, when 113 reports were ordered.
