    Shanghai International Energy Exchange (hereinafter referred to as “INE”) has released circular that approves Southland Resources Co., Ltd. to change its TSR 20 futures factory code and product logo. From the date of this circular, TSR20 produced by the Chumphon Branch of Southland Resources (Chumphon) Co. Ltd with corrected factory code and product logo can be used for standard warrant issuance and physical delivery. TSR20 produced by the Chumphon Branch under the original factory code and product logo cannot be used for standard warrant issuance and physical delivery. Standard warrants that have been issued for Chumphon Branch-produced TSR 20 before the date of this circular could be circulated until expiration.

    Liquidity eased slightly in September, as the People’s Bank of China maintains an ‘ample’ supply of liquidity to foster the recovery, the latest MNI Liquidity Conditions Index shows.

    The Liquidity Condition Index stood at 75.0 in August, down from the 84.4 recorded in August. The higher the index reading, the tighter liquidity appears to survey participants.

    On September 25, FTSE Russell announced that Chinese government bonds will be included in FTSE World Government Bond Index (WGBI), and it is expected to begin in October 2021. The specific inclusion date will be finalized after a semi-annual assessment in March 2021. At this point, the Chinese bond market will be fully included in the world's three major bond indexes.

  • Shenzhen Stock Exchange Leverages Its Edges In Blockchain Platform To Facilitate Innovation Development Of Regional Equity Market

    On September 28, Shenzhen Securities Communication Co., Ltd. (SSCC), a subsidiary of Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), and Beijing Equity Trading Center Co., Ltd. (BETC), a subsidiary of Beijing State-owned Capital Operation and Management Center (BSCOMC), jointly held a launch ceremony for the blockchain-based registration and custody system for the Beijing Regional Equity Market, and signed a letter of intent for cooperation on the research and application of the blockchain technology. Responsible persons from the Information Center of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), SZSE, BSCOMC, and relevant institutions were present at the ceremony. This event marks an important move by the two sides to meet the requirements in the Master Plan for China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone issued by the State Council, boost innovation of financial technology, and improve the service capacity of financial infrastructure by scientific and technological means. It is also another practical application by SZSE to facilitate the digitization of the regional equity market by leveraging its edges in technological innovation and relying on its financial blockchain platform after the cooperation with Guangdong Equity Exchange in blockchain technology this July.
