Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission Secures First-Of-Its-Kind Settlement To Compensate Public Shareholders Of Combest Holdings Limited

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has reached a settlement for three respondents to pay compensation of about $192 million to the Combest Holdings Limited (Combest) for distribution to independent public shareholders of the delisted company to resolve the court proceedings against them in the High Court of Hong Kong by way of a summary procedure.

New Zealand Financial Markets Authority Consultation: Regulatory Returns For Financial Institution Licensees

US Financial Stability Oversight Council Meetings

On Friday, September 20, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will preside over a meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council (Council) at the Treasury Department. The meeting will consist only of an executive session. The preliminary agenda for the executive session includes an update on the Inter-Agency Working Group on Treasury Market Surveillance; an update on the Council’s Climate-related Financial Risk Committee and a vote on additional members of the Council’s Climate-related Financial Risk Advisory Committee; the Council’s 2024 annual report; and the Council’s fiscal year 2025 budget.*

CFTC To Hold A Commission Open Meeting September 20

US Department Of Justice: Twelve Defendants Sentenced For Violent Home Invasion Robberies To Steal Cryptocurrency

A Florida man was sentenced to 47 years in prison on Wednesday for his role in a scheme involving a series of home invasion robberies targeting cryptocurrency. Between Sept. 5 and Sept. 12, a total of 12 men have been sentenced for their role in the scheme.
