ESMA Updates List Of Trading Venues Temporarily Exempted From Open Access Under MIFIR

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s securities markets regulator, has updated today the list of trading venues which have a temporary exemption from the open access provisions under the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (MiFIR). The updated list includes an extension of the exemption for five venues until 4 January 2023.

Chainalysis Expands Series B To $49M With Investment From Ribbit Capital And Sound Ventures - Company Doubles Down On Public Sector Growth - Ribbit’s Sigal Mandelker Joins As Advisor

Chainalysis, the blockchain analysis company, today announced it raised an additional $13M to expand its Series B round to $49M with an investment from Ribbit Capital and Sound Ventures. With the funds, which follows a $36M raise from Accel, Benchmark, MUFG and Sozo Ventures last year, Chainalysis will grow and deepen its government relationships and further unite the public and private sectors to fuel the cryptocurrency industry’s growth through the addition of software engineers, government sales, and other business roles. Sigal Mandelker, General Partner at Ribbit Capital and former Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, will join as an advisor to Chainalysis.

Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer: Farmer Sentiment Rebounds Amidst Ongoing COVID-19 Concerns

Farmer sentiment improved in June for the second month in a row, rebounding from sharp declines that took place in both March and April, according to the Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer. The index was up 14 points from May to a reading of 117. The Ag Economy Barometer is based on responses from 400 U.S. agricultural producers with this month's survey conducted from June 22-26, 2020.
