Avacade Parties To Consider Appeal To Supreme Court Following Today's Ruling By Court Of Appeal In Favour Of UK Financial Conduct Authority

The UK Financial Conduct Authority has won its case against Alexandra Associates UK, trading as Avacade Future Solutions, after previous findings were upheld in the Court of Appeal.

The Avacade parties are now considering an appeal to the Supreme Court.

SOFR First Propels SOFR To 20% Market Share - Eris SOFR 14% Of 1-3y Swaps In July

• Driven by the SOFR First initiative recommended by the CFTC’s Market Risk Advisory Committee, last week SOFR swaps exceeded 20% of the DV01 traded among SOFR and USD Libor swaps, according to Clarus Financial Technology data
• By comparison, SOFR swaps accounted for just 3% of DV01 traded for the previous 60-day period leading up to July 25
• The jump in market share shows increased momentum toward meeting regulators’ goal of transitioning away from Libor by year-end
• “All firms should be moving quickly to meet our supervisory guidance advising them to end the new use of Libor this year,” said Federal Reserve Board Vice Chair Randal K. Quarles in a July 29 press release announcing ARRC’s formal recommendation of Term SOFR

• Average daily volume (ADV) for the month was $972.2 billion (bn), an increase of 34.2 percent (%) year over year (YoY). Average daily trades for the month totaled 58,916.
• In U.S. Credit, Tradeweb captured a record 9.9% share of High Yield TRACE, of which 6.4% was fully electronic. Activity was driven by record share in portfolio trading and Tradeweb AllTrade, with strong growth in both sessions-based and RFQ trading.
