ISDA: CFTC Requirement: Federal Entity Indicator

The amended CFTC Swap Data Reporting Rules require reporting of Federal Entity Indicator (#23 Counterparty 1/ #24 Counterparty 2). The ISDA Data & Reporting U.S. Compliance industry working group formed two alternatives of standardized language that may be used for any outreach. Reporting parties can elect to use either the CFTC Federal Entity Indicator – Negative Affirmation or Federal Entity Indicator – Affirmative Election provided at their discretion.

US Acting Comptroller Of The Currency Discusses Architecture Of Stablecoins

Nadex Temporarily Amends Binary Contracts Strike Width

Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”), and Section 40.6(d) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act (the “Regulations”), North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (“Nadex”, the “Exchange”) hereby provides notice that due to increased or decreased volatility, as the case may be, in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based, Nadex made changes to the strike widths of various contracts during the week of April 4, 2022 as indicated in the Weekly Notice.

A former Managing Director of The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (Goldman Sachs) was convicted today by a federal jury in the Eastern District of New York for conspiring to commit bribery, to circumvent internal accounting controls, and to commit money laundering in connection with a multibillion-dollar scheme involving Malaysia’s state-owned investment and development fund, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETFs/ETPs ecosystem, reported today the ETFs industry in Canada celebrated its 32nd anniversary and reached a record US$276 billion US Dollars in assets at the end of Q1 2022. The ETFs industry in Canada gathered net inflows of US$4.29 billion during March, bringing year-to-date net inflows to US$12.05 billion. At the end of the month, Canadian ETF assets increased by 2.0%, from US$270 billion at the end of February to US$276 billion, according to ETFGI's March 2022 Canadian ETFs and ETPs industry landscape insights report, the monthly report which is part of an annual paid-for research subscription service.
