US Acting Comptroller Of The Currency Releases Letter On Preemption

Acting Comptroller of the Currency Rodney E. Hood today released a letter in response to correspondence from the Conference of State Bank Supervisors requesting the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) rescind its preemption regulations.

US Financial Groups Urge Administration To Address Pattern Of Data Security Lapses At Regulators

The Bank Policy Institute, American Bankers Association, MFA and SIFMA called for significant reforms to how federal financial regulators handle sensitive data following the latest in a series of data breaches that exposed over 148,000 private correspondences containing sensitive supervisory information about U.S. financial institutions. In a letter addressed to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, the organizations identified concerns with regulators’ data management practices spanning the previous administration. Weaknesses were identified in February 2025; however, growing threats from hostile nation-states targeting U.S. critical infrastructure serve as a reminder of the urgency to address vulnerabilities.

Cboe Successfully Completes Migration Of Cboe Digital Exchange Futures To Cboe Futures Exchange

- Cboe's financially settled bitcoin and ether margin futures, previously listed on Cboe Digital Exchange, now trading on Cboe Futures Exchange (CFE)
- Consolidation of all Cboe's U.S. futures products onto one exchange, powered by a common technology platform, expected to bring customers greater efficiencies and product choice
- Migration also positions Cboe to grow its global clearing capabilities with FBT and FET futures centrally cleared through Cboe Clear U.S.

Disciplinary Committee Of Nasdaq Helsinki: Reprimand And Fine Imposed To Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG For Breaching The Rules Of The Exchange

The Disciplinary Committee of Nasdaq Helsinki Ltd has imposed a reprimand and a fine of EUR 350,000 to Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG due to the breaches of the Nordic Member Rules (“Rules”) of Nasdaq Helsinki Ltd (“the Exchange”). Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG (“CITI”) had breached the Rules as the trading member of the Exchange in relation to the market incident occurred in May 2022.

NYSE Member Firms Report First Quarter Results

New York Stock Exchange member firms that conduct business with the public reported a first-quarter 2025 after-tax profit of approximately $15 billion and revenues of approximately $124 billion, compared with approximately $11 billion after-tax profit on revenues of about $117 billion in the first-quarter of 2024.

(TT), a global capital markets technology platform services provider, today announced that TT has provided connectivity for its clients to access GFO-X, the UK's first regulated and centrally cleared trading venue dedicated to digital asset derivatives, through the TT platform in conjunction with the exchange's recent launch.
