Nicolas Breteau , Chief Executive Officer, TP ICAP said:"TP ICAP capitalised on improved operating conditions during the third quarter compared with the same period last year, due to increased volatility and higher secondary trading volumes. This resulted in revenue growth across all our divisions, with particular strength in Energy & Commodities.
These favourable trends continued through
October 2021 and we continue to anticipate full-year revenue for the Group, excluding Liquidnet, to be broadly in line with 2020 on a constant currency basis." -

With bexio, one of the leading Swiss providers of business software is joining the bLink open finance platform. SwissSalary, Counteo and LIMMOBI are also new to the platform. Using the standardized Account & Payments Services API on bLink, SMEs can automatically integrate account and transaction data from their principal bank into their accounting tool. This significantly reduces the administrative effort for SMEs, solving a key customer problem with the new interface. This is also becoming increasingly important for banks.

Better Advice Act Broadens ASIC’s Regulatory Responsibilities

- ASIC’s responsibilities in respect of the financial advice industry will be broadened under the Better Advice Act.
- From 1 January 2022, the role of the FSCP will be expanded and ASIC will take on the administration of the financial adviser exam. From 1 January 2023 all financial advisers must be registered
- ASIC will continue to work closely with Treasury, FASEA and the TPB to ensure a smooth transition of functions.

Today, the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets (PWG), joined by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), released a report on stablecoins. Stablecoins are a type of digital asset generally designed to maintain a stable value relative to the U.S. dollar. While today stablecoins are primarily used to facilitate trading of other digital assets, stablecoins could be more widely used in the future as a means of payment by households and businesses.
