CFTC Staff Issues No-Action Position Related To Designated Contract Market Procedures

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Division of Market Oversight today announced it has issued a no-action letter to Cboe Digital Exchange, LLC, a designated contract market, which addresses certain procedures related to dormancy. The no-action position is time-limited and subject to the terms and conditions in the letter. 

B.C. Securities Commission Issues First Whistleblower Award

New York State Department of Financial Services Acting Superintendent Kaitlin Asrow announced today that Santander Consumer USA Inc. (Santander Consumer) will pay a $400,000 penalty and more than $275,000 to eligible impacted borrowers for violations of New York State Banking Law. An investigation determined the company imposed undisclosed extension fees on automobile loans.
