Tenth African Fiscal Forum – Joint Statement By The European Commissioner For International Partnerships And The Managing Director Of The International Monetary Fund

Ms. Jutta Urpilainen, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, and Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, today issued a statement on the occasion of the Tenth African Fiscal Forum titled ‘Fiscal policies and reforms for the post-pandemic era’. Delegates at the Forum, which is taking place virtually on March 10-11, 2022, includes high-level participation by the Fund and Commission by Mr. Bo Li, Deputy Managing Director, and Mr. Koen Doens, Director General of DG International Partnerships, respectively, as well as delegates from African ministers of finance, policymakers and representatives from bilateral partners, multilateral institutions, and civil society.

BME: MARF Registers A 50 Million Euro Bond Programme From Agile Content

MARF, BME’s Fixed Income market, has registered the first Bond Programme from Agile Content. With this new continuous issuance mechanism, Agile Content will be able to issue up to 50 million euros in medium and long-term securities, which will have a minimum nominal value per unit of 100,000 euros, fixed or variable interest rates and maturities to be determined at the time of issuing each tranche. The funds obtained from the bond issue will be used mainly to finance new acquisitions of national and international companies that serve to reinforce the Group's growth strategy and significant Capex investments.

BaFin - Supervisory Statement: … Of Refugees From The Ukrainian War Zone

The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) would like to stress that – in support of the current humanitarian efforts to accept refugees from the Ukrainian war zone – credit institutions subject to its supervision will not face any legal consequences under supervisory law when a valid Ukrainian identity card is used to validate the data collected under section 11 (4) no. 1 of the German Money Laundering Act (Geldwäschegesetz – GwG) when a basic payment account is opened.
