Lori H. Price Named Acting Director Of The Office Of Credit Ratings - Ahmed Abonamah To Leave SEC

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Lori H. Price will serve as Acting Director of the Office of Credit Ratings (OCR). Ms. Price replaces Ahmed A. Abonamah, who is leaving the agency at the beginning of February to serve as Chief Financial Officer for the City of Cleveland.

ESMA Makes New Bond Liquidity Data Available And Publishes Data For The Systematic Internaliser Calculations

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s securities markets regulator, has today made available the new quarterly liquidity assessment for bonds, the data for the systematic internaliser quarterly calculations for equity, equity-like instruments, bonds and for other non-equity instruments and the consolidated tape provider (CTP) data under MiFID II and MiFIR.

Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer Declines, Producers Concerned About Rising Costs And Supply Chain Disruptions

Farmer sentiment weakened in January as the Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer declined 6 points to a reading of 119, its second-lowest reading since July 2020. The Index of Current Conditions fell 13 points to a reading of 133, while the Index of Future Expectations changed little in January, down 2 points to a reading of 112. The Ag Economy Barometer is calculated each month from 400 U.S. agricultural producers' responses to a telephone survey. This month's survey was conducted between January 17-21, 2022.
