Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEXTM), a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), today reported September 2022 trading volume of 310,233 contracts, representing a 4.3% year-over-year (YoY) decrease and a 17.6% decrease from August 2022. Total year-to-date volume reached 2,710,629 contracts, a decrease of 3.2% from the same period in 2021.
GlobalConnect, GPW’s New Market Is Scheduled To Launch On 4 November

- Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) plans to launch a market for shares of foreign companies, GlobalConnect, on 4 November 2022
- GlobalConnect will allow investors to invest in shares of global companies in PLN during trading hours on Warsaw Stock Exchange
- The first Introducing Market Maker is Santander Brokerage Poland, which will also make GlobalConnect available to retail investors. Also joining the market are: Dom Maklerski Banku Ochrony Środowiska, ING Bank Śląski, Opera Dom Maklerski

Treasury’s Federal Insurance Office Releases Annual Report On The Insurance Industry and Request For Information On Potential Federal Insurance Response To Catastrophic Cyber Incidents

The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Federal Insurance Office (FIO) last week released its Annual Report on the Insurance Industry. Under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act), FIO must report annually to the President and Congress on the state of the insurance industry and any other information deemed relevant or requested. The FIO Annual Report discusses the U.S. insurance industry’s financial performance and its financial condition for the year ending December 31, 2021, and then provides a domestic outlook for the industry for 2022. The FIO Annual Report also summarizes FIO’s activities over the past year and addresses selected matters affecting the domestic and international insurance industry.
