ETFGI Reports The ETFs Industry In Canada Gathered Net Inflows Of US$6.01 Billion In December 2022

ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETFs/ETPs ecosystem, reported today that the ETFs industry in Canada gathered net inflows of US$6.01 billion during December, bringing year-to-date net inflows to US$30.85 billion. During the month, Canadian ETF assets decreased by 2.6%, from US$256 billion at the end of November to US$250 billion, according to ETFGI's December 2022 Canadian ETFs and ETPs industry landscape insights report, the monthly report which is part of an annual paid-for research subscription service. ESMA: Costs Of Retail Investment Products Continue Slow Decline

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU financial markets regulator and supervisor, today publishes its fifth annual report on the costs and performance of European Union (EU) retail investment products. In the report ESMA looks at the market between 2012 and 2021 and finds that the costs of investing in the most important retail financial products continued to decline, albeit at a very slow pace.

Futures contracts based on the BIST Sustainability 25 Index were launched on Borsa İstanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) on January 13, 2023. Thanks to the futures contracts based on the BIST Sustainability 25 Index, which includes the shares of companies with high sustainability performance and traded on Borsa İstanbul, investors have a new financial product that will provide them to distinguish companies that adopt sustainability and corporate social responsibility principles and to invest in these companies. This new index contract, which has the same features as the existing index contracts and to which Takasbank will provide Central Counterparty service, will be terminated with a cash settlement at the end of maturity of the relevant contracts.
