    On May 22, OME Aluminium futures opened lower on long-liquidation as the yen soared up to the 106 yen level against US dollar amid the easier tone in LME Aluminium in line with the fall in its copper market. Distant March contract dropped to 164.5 yen, down 2.2 yen from the last Friday’s close.

  • New Worldwide Record In Trading Volume At Eurex - 45 Million Contracts Traded - Record Volumes In Schatz Future, Options On Schatz And In Equity Options As A Whole

    Eurex, the European derivatives market, achieved another worldwide record with 45 million contracts traded in May, beating its previous record of 42.1 million contracts as the world market leader in March 2000. This represents an increase of 56 percent over the Eurex total for May 1999. On the whole, over 197million contracts have already been traded this year.
