E-Mini Nasdaq 100 Notches Ninth Consecutive Open Interest Record As E-Mini S&P 500 Rises To More Than 50,000 On CME

For the ninth consecutive trading session, open interest in E-mini Nasdaq 100 Index futures rose to a record level, reaching 34,308 positions with the close of trading Friday, June 9. Open interest in E-mini S&P 500 futures also rose to a new high, for the first time surpassing 50,000 and reaching 50,605 positions.

Chobe reported its maiden results as a listed entity on the BSE. The results for the full year ended 29th February 2000 came out significantly below prospectus forecasts. The forecast contained in the prospectus indicated revenue of P18.5m and earnings of P7.0m.

Ashton Technology Canada And The Toronto Stock Exchange Sign Agreement To Operate eVWAP In Canada

Ashton Technology Canada, a subsidiary of the Ashton Technology, Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTN), has signed an agreement with the Toronto Stock Exchange Inc. (TSE) to operate Ashton's proprietary eVWAP (electronic volume weighted average price) trading system as a Facility of the TSE.

Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Announces Largest Offering Ever

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange announced that the government's sale of 17.3% of Bank Hapoalim for around 2.1 billion shekels ($510 million), completed on June 6, was the largest public offering ever on the TASE.

The Stock Exchange Of Hong Kong Migrates AMS/2 To New Trading Network

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong will migrate the last batch of 570 AMS/2 (the second generation of the Automatic Order Matching and Execution System) off-floor trading terminals to a new trading network on June 12 (Monday) following a successful market-wide network rehearsal today (Saturday).

May was a month of boosting trading volumes in the Latvian capital market. Total turnover amounted to EUR 105.61 million, equity turnover contributing EUR 30.44 million and debt trading - EUR 75.15 million. The increase of traded equity volumes was largely due to several block trades with Ventspils nafta and Latvijas Unibanka shares. The two companies were the market leaders as to turnover - LVL 9.54 million and LVL 6.73 million respectively. Equity market capitalisation at the end of the month
