SEHK To Introduce A Trading Fee To Replace Its Portion Of Transaction Levy

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, will introduce on 1 September 2001 a Trading Fee of 0.005 per cent per side of the consideration of a transaction. The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has approved the fee and the related amendments to the various rules.

HKEx: Stock Options Trading To Move to HKATS On 6 August

Derivatives Trading Integration will be completed on 6 August 2001 (Monday) with the migration of stock options trading to HKATS, the Hong Kong Futures Automated Trading System. Stock options are currently traded on TOPS, the Trade Options System. Clearing and settlement of stock options trades will continue to be performed on TOPS as at present.

Euronext Amsterdam To Introduce Screen Trading For Fortis, Nutreco And ASM International Equity Options In November

In November 2001, Euronext Amsterdam will launch a pilot project during which a number of option classes will migrate to full screen trading for the first time in the history of Amsterdam option trading. Nowadays in Amsterdam only futures are traded fully on screen.

Deutsche Börse Publishes Performance Ratings Of Designated Sponsors In Xetra - 50 Designated Sponsors Achieve AA Rating - All Nemax 50 Companies Have At Least One Designated Sponsor With An AA Rating

On Thursday, Deutsche Börse published the quarterly ratings for the current 65 Designated Sponsors in Xetra. They show that during the second quarter of the year 50 Designated Sponsors, representing 97 percent of the companies, fulfilled the criteria for the highest performance rating, "AA." They thus achieved the best rating with regard to quotation time and the prescribed spreads. CME Has Second Busiest Day in 103-Year History As Trading Volume Reaches Nearly 2.7 Million Contracts - Eurodollar Options Set New Single-Day Volume Record

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc., (CME) marked the second busiest trading day in its 103-year history yesterday, July 18, when 2,682,228 contracts changed hands. The underlying value of the nearly 2.7 million contracts traded totaled $2.13 trillion.
