Tonen General Sekiyu Added To S&P/Topix 150

Tokyo Stock Exchange and Standard & Poor' s will replace the Tonen Corporation (5005) in the S&P/TOPIX 150 Index with the Tonen General Sekiyu (5012) after the close of trading on Friday, June 30, 2000. Tonen Corporation will be merged into the General Sekiyu and delisted on July 1. New company name after the merger will be "Tonen General Sekiyu". The IWF for Tonen General Sekiyu will be .33.

The shares of Modex Therapeutics Ltd. - a company involved in the life-science sector - were traded for the first time today on the SWX New Market. The issuance price was set on Thursday evening at CHF 168. The opening price of the shares stood 20% above that level at CHF 202, representing a market capitalisation of CHF 260 million.

Nymex To Increase Natural Gas Margins

The New York Mercantile Exchange will increase margins on its Henry Hub natural gas contract to $4,200 from $3,500 for clearing members; to $4,620 from $3,850 for members; and to $5,670 from $4,725 for customers as of the close of business today.
