Nymex To Change Early Closing Time For Coal

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that it will change the early closing time for coal futures to 12:30 P.M. for days that the Exchange has designated for early closings.
NYBOT Exchange Fee Reduction Program Adopted

On December 27, 2001, the NYBOT Exchanges adopted a fee reduction program of up to $2 million for proprietary trades entered into on and after November 15, 2001 through December 31, 2001. The fee reduction program applies to all Exchange members, including lessees, except FINEX - European permit holders. The fee reduction program consists of rebates of such amounts as have been paid by such members and forbearance of such amounts as have not yet been billed or paid.
Malaysian Derivatives Exchange Now Fully Electronic

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) said today (Friday) that the HKATS, Hong Kong Futures Automated Trading System, resumed operations from 17:10 today after a temporary interruption was experienced at 16:02. Trading in the Rolling Forex market resumed its normal operations at 17:10.

Share prices picked up during last quarter Yesterday, 27 December, the accumulated share turnover for 2001 reached 202 billion euros (2000 total: EUR 227 bn) which was 11 per cent less than in the previous year. The number of shares traded increased by 79.2 per cent and was 11 billion. On 27 December, the total market capitalization of listed companies was 213 billion euros (2000: EUR 318 bn).
