Borsa Italiana Chooses OM To Power Idem - The Italian Derivatives Market

Borsa Italiana has signed an agreement with OM as IT partner and systems provider for its Derivatives Market Idem. OM will deliver its CLICK Exchange system by the end of 2001. The contract covers license, delivery project and support over 5 years for the CLICK Exchange system. In addition to the contract for a new system, Borsa Italiana has also contracted OM for continued support of the existing Derivatives Market system. The total order value is expected to exceed 115 MSEK.

Stock Exchange Of Thailand To Improve Listed Companies Minor Shareholdings Distribution

Mr. Surat Palalikit, Executive Vice President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), disclosed that SET Board of Governors, on its extraordinary meeting on 23 May 2001, required the SET to consult with the Listed Companies Association in order to find ways of encouraging listed companies to increase minor shareholdings distribution to be greater than 10% of the paid-up capital.

Singapore Exchange Derivatives Trading Limited (SGX-DT) today announced that its MSCI Taiwan Index Options contract has set yet another open interest record on 23 May 2001, with 5,621 contracts. This record is the eleventh and latest in a spate of records since 4 May 2001, out of 16 trading days from 2 May to 23 May.

Securities and Exchange Commission Approves Increase To The Maximum Guaranteed Size For AUTO-X Eligible Orders From 75 Contracts To 100 Contracts

The SEC has approved amendments to Philadelphia Stock Exchange ("Phlx" or "Exchange") Rule 1080, Automated Options Market (AUTOM) and Automatic Execution System (AUTO-X), increasing the maximum guaranteed size for AUTO-X eligible orders from 75 contracts to 100 contracts.
