The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc., today announced that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved its proposal to include Unit Investment Trusts (UIT’s) in the Mutual Fund Quotation ServiceSM (MFQSSM). Copenhagen Stock Exchange: The Equity Market Opened 2001 With Handsome Performance

In January 2001, equity trading amounted to DKK 80.4 billion, up from DKK 57.9 billion in January last year. The value of average daily trading amounted to DKK 3.7 billion, a 33 per cent rise on January 2000, and 3 per cent higher than in December 2000.

CBOE Sets New Single-Day Trading Record In January

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) began the new year with a strong start by setting new records for single-day and monthly January volume. 2,501,747 contracts traded on January 19, the first time that single-day total volume ever passed 2 1/2 million contracts at CBOE. In January, average daily volume was 1,436,342 contracts, the seventeenth consecutive month that average daily volume has exceeded a million contracts per day at CBOE.

CBOE Adds Options On iSharesSM S&P 100® Index Fund (OEF)

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that the trading of options on the iSharesSM S&P 100® Index Fund (ticker symbol OEF) will commence Wednesday, February 7. OEF is an exchange-traded fund that trades exclusively at CBOE. It seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 100® Index.
