  • TSE Experiencing Data Feed Problems - Update

    The Toronto Stock Exchange is continuing its investigation into the communications difficulties that are impacting outbound information on the High-Speed Vendor Feed and the Canadian Consolidated Data Feed. As a result of on-going investigation, the Exchange will not resume trading at 12:50pm as originally announced. Trading will now resume at 1:03pm. The Exchange regrets any inconvenience created by continued disruption.

    The Toronto Stock Exchange is experiencing communications difficulties at this time affecting outbound information on The High-Speed Vendor Feed and the Canadian Consolidated Data Feed. This problem is impacting members' gateway access to the TSE as well as some information transmitted to the derivatives trading floor. As a result, we have closed (11:30am) the derivatives trading floor until further notice.

  • Paris Bourse SBF busiest month of August ever, with the daily record beaten twice

    Amounts traded were the highest ever for August, averaging EUR 2.428 billion, a day or 43.58% more than in the same month of last year. This was also 17.29% more than the daily average of EUR 2.07 billion for 1998 as a whole.

  • New Credit Lyonnais Options on Paris Bourse SBF SA

    Paris Bourse SBF SA will open trading in Crédit Lyonnais equity options on September 14, 1999. This follows the highly successful admission of Crédit Lyonnais shares to the monthly settlement compartment of the Premier Marché on July 8 and their inclusion in the CAC 40 index sample on September 7.

  • The Spanish Equity Derivatives Market Grows 41% Through August. Options On Shares Grow 173%

    The Spanish equity derivatives market, MEFF RV, registered a volume of 971,182 contracts traded in August 1999, accumulating a total volume of 7,506,507 in the first eight months, a 41% growth over the same period of last year. Options on Shares have experienced the biggest growth with a 173% increase.

  • SWX Swiss Exchange - Concrete Steps in the Direction of Internationalisation

    For the SWX Swiss Exchange, 1999 represents the year of internationalisation. For the first time, foreign participants have commenced active trading on SWX. As a result of foreign investors' having been freed of Swiss stamp tax on Eurobond transactions as of 1 April, SWX Eurobonds has established itself as a bridge between interbank dealings in London and investors in Switzerland. Following a full year of product development, SWX initiated electronic trading in repurchase agreements in mid-June.

    On September 8, 1999, seven new indexes will be disseminated over the Dow Jones datafeed of the Chicago Board of Trade market data ticker network. These additions include three new Dow Jones Islamic Market Indexes and four new indexes from the Dow Jones family of indexes, The Dow Jones Sustainability Group Indexes.
