SEC General Counsel To Leave Commission

The Commission announced today that General Counsel David M. Becker will leave the Commission to return to the private sector. Becker came to the Commission in 1998 as deputy general counsel and has been the agency's chief legal officer since January 2000. HKEx: Compliance With Stock Exchange Listing Rules Will Require Fewer Printed Documents

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has amended its Main Board and GEM Listing Rules in moves that will result in reduced printing requirements. The amendments will come into effect on Friday, 15 February 2002.

HKEx: Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from Monday, 25 February 2002, 7 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 14 existing Designated Securities will be removed from the list. The total number of Designated Securities for short selling will be 150.
