Eurex News Flash - Bund Sets New Daily Volume Record

Eurex announces that the Bund Future reached a new all-time daily high today with 2,138,321 contracts traded. This figure is a 17 percent increase over the previous record of 1,827,619 contracts traded on September 5, 2002, and marks the first time more than two million contracts traded in one contract.

Copenhagen Stock Exchange: The Preliminary KBX Portfolio Has Been Selected

The coming KBX portfolio will hold 65 shares as against 64 today. The portfolio is preliminary, and the Copenhagen Stock Exchange reserves the right to change the portfolio until five trading days prior to the effective date, i.e. until 24 June. The final portfolio enters into force on 1 July 2003.

CME Sets Exchange-wide Open Interest Record

Open interest on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) rose to record levels yesterday, June 3, with 24,835,531 positions, surpassing the Dec. 12, 2002 record of 24,804,321 open positions. CME has the largest futures and options on futures open interest of any exchange in the world.

Clearstream Extends USD 1 Billion Multicurrency Revolving Credit Facility

Clearstream confirmed that it has successfully secured the extension of a USD 1 billion 364-day Multicurrency Revolving Credit Facility arranged for Clearstream Banking S. A. by BNP Paribas as "Mandated Lead Arranger". The facility was signed on 13 May 2003.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange To Modify Market Data Pricing In 2004

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) today announced that it will modify its market data pricing effective Jan. 1, 2004. As of that date, CME will charge users of its real-time feed a fee of $30 per month for each market data screen, or device. Currently, CME charges $50 per month for the first screen at each location and $20 per month for each additional screen at the same location.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Enhanced Flaxseed Futures Contract Approved

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. (WCE) has approved an enhanced flaxseed futures contract design, to be effective with the December 2003 and subsequent contracts. Non-disapproval by The Manitoba Securities Commission (MSC) has been received and trading of the revised contracts will begin on June 5, 2003.
