MSCI Barra, a leading provider of benchmark indices and risk management analytics products, is pleased to announce that assets in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) based on MSCI Equity Indices now exceed USD 50 Billion. To date, there are over 70 ETFs based on MSCI Equity Indices trading in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Equities Turnover In October 43 Percent Up Year-on-year €339 Billion In Turnover On German Stock Exchanges In October - 7.5 Million Transactions On Xetra

The German stock exchanges generated an equities turnover based on the order book statistics of €119.3 billion in October– an increase of 43 percent year-on-year (October 2004: €83.2 billion). German equities accounted for €112 billion of this total, with foreign equities comprising €7.3 billion. The order book statistics show all transactions in the order book of Xetra and broker-supported trading on the floor in single counting.

CME, the world's largest and most diverse financial exchange, today said average daily volume in October was 4.5 million contracts, up nearly 40 percent from the same period a year ago. Total monthly volume was more than 94 million contracts. Average daily volume on the CME Globex electronic trading platform averaged 3.3 million contracts, a 52 percent increase from October 2004. The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT® ) announced today that Exchange-wide average daily volume climbed to a new high for October. Average Daily Volume (ADV) for October rose to 2,356,354 contracts, up 3.5 percent, compared to 2,277,655 contracts in October 2004. Total Exchange ADV Year-To-Date (YTD) increased by 15.8 percent to 2,727,162 contracts, up from 2,254,205 contracts reported in October 2004.
