Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Wednesday, June 28, 2006: Storm Cat Energy Corporation (TSXVN:SME) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the same ticker symbol. Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation (TSXVN:BIM) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the same ticker symbol.

Securities Industry Association, Bond Market Association Boards Approve Merger, Creating Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, Recommend Member Approval

The boards of directors of the Securities Industry Association and the Bond Market Association today voted to merge the two organizations, creating the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, or SIFMA. The merger is subject to a vote of approval by member firms by the end of July. The new organization will encompass almost the entire diversity of firms in the financial markets and create a single, powerful voice on legislative, regulatory and market practice issues.
