SEC Sues Morgan Stanley And Goldman Sachs For Unlawful IPO Allocation Practices - Each Firm Agrees To Settlement Calling For Injunction And Payment Of $40 Million Penalty
The Securities and Exchange Commission announced the filing in federal district court of separate settled civil injunctive actions against Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated (Morgan Stanley) and Goldman, Sachs & Co. (Goldman Sachs) relating to the firms' allocations of stock to institutional customers in initial public offerings (IPOs) underwritten by the firms during 1999 and 2000. John Anderson Joins Securities Industry Association As Vice President And Director, Legislative Affairs
The Securities Industry Association today announced the appointment of John Anderson as vice president and director, legislative affairs. Anderson, 29, comes to SIA from the International Swaps and Derivatives Association where he served as policy director and head of government affairs. He was instrumental in establishing ISDA’s government advocacy office in Washington, D.C. Anderson also has held key legislative policy posts, most recently as senior policy adviser for Senator Michael Crapo
