Dalian Commodity Exchange(DCE) set a new daily turnover record of 77 billion yuan on August 14 for all of its breeds. It was also a new high this year. The trading volume reached 2.63 million contracts.

Dalian Commodity Exchange: Palm Oil Futures Trading May Start This Year

The palm oil futures contact may begin trading on the Dalian Commodity Exchange this year given the intense preparation underway. The contract may become the second new offering this year by the exchange after the LLDPE, and may also be the fourth futures product introduced this year in China.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the largest options exchange in the U.S., announced the busiest trading day in its 34-year history occurred Thursday, August 16, 2007, when 9,244,732 contracts traded. Yesterday's record-setting volume topped CBOE's previous single day high set on July 26, 2007, when 6,951,111 contracts traded.
