The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed Foreign Corrupt Practices Act books and records and internal controls charges against El Paso Corporation, alleging that the NYSE-listed Texas energy company indirectly paid nearly $5.5 million in illegal surcharges to Iraq in connection with its purchases of crude oil from third parties under the United Nations Oil for Food Program. IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) reported record quarterly consolidated net income for the fourth quarter 2006 of $49.0 million, more than tripling its year-on-year quarterly earnings compared to $14.9 million in net income in the fourth quarter of 2005. Consolidated revenues in the quarter increased 131% to a record $95.3 million, from $41.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2005. Diluted earnings per share in the fourth quarter of 2006 were $0.81.
