Lehman Brothers Names Satu Parikh Global Head Of Commodities

Lehman Brothers, the global investment bank, today announced that Satu Parikh has been named global head of Commodities. Previously, he was head of Liquid Markets, Asia, which included coverage of rates, foreign exchange and commodities. Mr. Parikh will relocate to the Firm’s headquarters in New York and report to Kaushik Amin, global head of Liquid Markets.

Introduction Of Punch Telematix N.V. On Euronext.

Today 4,080,978 ordinary shares of the company Punch Telematix were admitted on the regulated market Eurolist by Euronext Brussels. The IPO consisted of a total offering of 1,548,076 shares (over-allotment included), raising a total of EUR 20.1 million of which EUR 17.5 million capital increase.

CESR Publishes The Responses Received To Its Consultation On The List Of Minimum Records In Article 51(3) Of The MiFID Implementing Directive

MiFID establishes that competent authorities shall draw up and maintain a list of the minimum records investment firms are required to keep. In this regard, CESR is considering, as described in its consultation paper (Ref. CESR/06-552), issuing a recommendation to its members with the content of the list of minimum records that competent authorities need to develop. Based on the close of trading on November 28, in November 2006, 30 companies went public in Europe, out of which seven companies were added to the Dow Jones STOXX IPO Indexes. To be included in the Dow Jones STOXX IPO Indexes companies must have a free float market capitalization between 100 million EUR and 3 billion EUR on the listing date.

CBOT Sets New Record For All-Time Daily Volume As Total Tops 7 Million Contracts For First Time - Full-Sized Gold Volume Surpasses 75,000 Contracts, To Reach Record

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that the Exchange reached its highest daily trading volume in its 158-year history yesterday. Total Exchange volume was 7,791,833 contracts, surpassing the previous all-time record of 6,522,607 contracts set on August 29, 2006.

The General Assembly of all Full and Associate Members met under the chairmanship of outgoing FESE President Massimo Capuano,President and CEO of Borsa Italiana.The Assembly voted unanimously to elect Jukka Ruuska, President of OMX Nordic Exchange as the new FESE President for the statutory term of two years.At the same time, Spyros Capralos Chairman of Athens Exchange was elected Vice President.Both will assume their office as of 29 th November 2006.
