SEC Approves NYSE Composite Index® for Use As Benchmark For Trading Collars - NYA Best Reflects The Superior Performance Of The NYSE Marketplace
Beginning Oct. 3, 2005, the Rule 80A restrictions on index-arbitrage trading in NYSE listed component stocks of the S&P 500 IndexSM will be based on the NYSE Composite Index or NYA. The Securities and Exchange Commission approved amendments to the rule, which revise the basis for calculating the Rule 80A trading collars to the NYA, replacing the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

OneChicago To List Six New Single Stock Futures Contracts Sept. 30
OneChicago, LLC today announced that six new single stock futures contracts will begin trading at the Exchange Friday, Sept. 30. The new listings will increase the number of single stock futures available for trading at OneChicago to 208.

OMX Vilnius Stock Exchange: Record Number Of Daily Trades Reached
Today, OMX Vilnius stock exchange (VSE) experienced a record of 2005 in number of trades (automatch and negotiated deals). The number of equity and debt securities trades amounted to 1,200, out of which 5 trades accounted for debt securities). The previous record of the year was 1,144 trades on February 22, 2005.

NYMEX Strategic Advisor Resigns
The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that former NYMEX Chairman Vincent Viola resigned from his position of strategic advisor citing the successful conclusion of the private equity investment process. Mr. Viola served as chairman from 2001 to 2004 and vice chairman from 1993 to 1996.

A seat on the NYMEX Division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., sold today for a record $2,850,000, surpassing the $2,800,000 record sale set on September 23.

NYMEX Provides Update On Natural Gas Force Majeure Declaration
The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that its prior declaration of force majeure relating to all remaining delivery obligations in the September 2005 NYMEX Division natural gas futures contract will continue in effect. In addition, the Exchange has determined to declare force majeure for the October 2005 natural gas contract.

NASDAQ SmallCap Market Is Renamed NASDAQ Capital Market
The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (NASDAQ: NDAQ) today announced it has renamed the NASDAQ SmallCap Market. Going forward it will be known as the NASDAQ Capital Market. NASDAQ filed the name change with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on September 13, 2005 and it is effective today.

NASD To Expand Public Dissemination Of Corporate Bond Transaction Data - Seeks Rule Amendments To Add Final Segment Of High-Yield Bonds To Real-Time Reporting
NASD announced today it will file a rule proposal with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to require immediate public dissemination of transactions of all publicly traded corporate bonds. The step will complete a three-year process to bring full transparency and real-time reporting to this important segment of the U.S. fixed income markets.
