• Facilitates personal data transfers between DIFC and California-based entities in accordance with the DP Law 2020 while protecting consumers
• This move sees the DIFC setting a precedent not only with respect to traditional adequacy determinations issued to date, but for building similar relationships with various US states and the US privacy framework in the future

On August 8, the Seminar on Digital-based Innovative Development of Regional Equity Markets and the "Yi Qi Rong" Launch Event were held in Shenzhen. This conference is designed to further implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the strategic deployment made by the State for the 14th Five-Year Period. It conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the innovative development of regional equity markets empowered by digitalization. The conference was guided by the Dept. of Market Supervision II and the Bureau of Technology Regulation of the CSRC, hosted by the SZSE, and co-organized by Shenzhen Securities Communication Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. Over 100 participants including the officials of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (the "MIIT"), the heads of relevant departments and units of the CSRC, and the representatives from more than 30 regional equity markets and related fields attended the conference.

Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission: Market Misconduct Tribunal Finds Mayer Holdings Limited And Its Former Senior Management For Late Disclosure Of Inside Information

The Market Misconduct Tribunal (MMT) has found that Mayer Holdings Limited (Mayer) and nine of its former senior executives failed to disclose inside information as soon as reasonably practicable as required under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO) following remitted proceedings after the Court of Appeal allowed appeals by Mayer and its directors against an earlier determination by the MMT.
