Two New Exchange Traded Funds Based On NASDAQ Indexes Are Launched
The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq: NDAQ) and First Trust Advisors L.P. have announced the launch of two new exchange traded funds (ETFs) -- the First Trust NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index(SM) Fund (Nasdaq: QQEW) and the First Trust NASDAQ-100 Technology Sector Index(SM) Fund (Nasdaq: QTEC) -- that are based on the NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted Index(SM) (Symbol: NDXE) and the NASDAQ-100 Technology Index(SM) (Symbol: NDXT), respectively. Tokyo Stock Exchange: Development Of New Custom Index That Incorporates Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
In response to the recent growing interest in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Japan, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) announced today that it will embark on development of a new index, "TOPIX 1000 CSR," that incorporates elements of CSR. Thailand Bond Index Fund Joins Bond Electronic Exchange
Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) approved the listing of the ABF Thailand Bond Index Fund’s unit trusts, worth THB5.58 billion (USD143 million), Dr. Santi Kiranand, CEO, announced. The fund is under the management of Kasikorn Asset Management Co., Ltd., and their unit trusts will commence trading on April 27, 2006, using “ABFTH” as their trading symbol.
