June Highlights: ECX trading volumes reset the scales in June and substantially broke all previous records with 295 Mt, 223% higher than June 2007. The previous monthly record was April 2008 when 191 Mt traded. Average daily volumes in EUA and CER futures and options climbed to 14 Mt (14,039 lots). BME Markets Monthly Report - The Trading Volume On The Spanish Exchange Reaches €702.07bn To June - The Number Of Trades On The Spanish Exchange Increases By 8.20% In The First Six Months Of The Year

Trading volume on the Spanish exchange came in at €105.34bn in June, up 8% from May. Options and Futures contracts exceeded 11 million in June, up 83% from the same period a year earlier. Highlights include Futures on Stocks, with 7.4 million contracts, up 142%. Monthly trading in Corporate Debt reached €204.53bn, up 130% from the same month a year earlier. Trading volume on the ETF market came in at €4.39bn to June, up 150% from the same period in 2007.

Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today launched the Dow Jones GCC and the Dow Jones Islamic Market GCC indexes.
