  • Short Selling: Italy's Commissione Nazionale Per Le Società E Le Borse Adopts New Provisions

    Consob (Commissione Nazionale per le Società e le Borse) resolved today that the sale of shares issued by banks and insurance companies listed and traded on the Italian regulated markets shall be supported, from the moment of the order up and until the date of the settlement of the transaction, by the availability by the ordering party of the relevant securities.

  • Bond Exchange Of South Africa Records Largest Daily Turnover Figure Ever

    The Bond Exchange of South Africa Limited (BESA) recorded its largest daily turnover figure ever on 22 September, topping R200 billion nominal during Monday’s trade. However, whilst turnover continues to show strong performance, yields have remained relatively stable since the beginning of September. The benchmark R153 was recorded at 9.620 yesterday yet this and other key bond yields may react on the back of inflation data to be reported by Stats SA later today.

  • HKFE Announces Revised Margins For Futures Contracts

    Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Thursday, 25 September 2008, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contract will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining method

  • Deutsche Börse Expands Data Offering On Life Expectancy - Xpect Data On Longevity Also Available For The Netherlands

    Deutsche Börse is internationalizing its Xpect Data offering – expanding it first to include Dutch longevity data. In March, Market Data & Analytics started delivering monthly data on life expectancy and mortality risks in Germany, broken down according to region, year of birth and gender.
