Carbon Credit Auction - BM&FBOVESPA Discloses Minimum Bid Price: €14.20 Per Ton

BM&FBOVESPA has disclosed the minimum bid price for the sale of Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs) – also known as carbon credits -, held by the São Paulo Municipal Government: €14.20 per ton. The auction will take place tomorrow, September 25th. A total amount of 713,000 CERs will be auctioned in a single lot under the terms of the Clean Development Mechanism – 454.343 CERs from the Bandeirantes landfill Energy Project and 258.657 CERs from São João landfill Energy Project.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today simultaneously filed and settled charges against four registered commodity pool operators (CPOs), charging them with failing to distribute to investors and file with the National Futures Association (NFA) one or more of their respective commodity pools’ annual reports in a timely manner.
