Federal Identity Theft Task Force Seeks Public Comment
The President's Identity Theft Task Force announced that it is seeking public comment on various possible recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the federal government's efforts to reduce identity theft. The Task Force is chaired by Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales and co-chaired by Federal Trade Commission Chairman Deborah Platt Majoras and participants include the Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal agencies.

CBOE 2006 Volume Shatters All Previous Records - CBOE Seat Prices Up 100% For The Year
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the largest options exchange in the U.S., announced that 2006 will go on the books as the third consecutive record breaking year, with more than 670 million contracts trading, an increase of 43% over 2005 total volume of 468 million contracts. Average daily volume has been 2.7 million contracts this year?up 88% from 2004, and more than double 2003's volume of 1.13 million contracts per day.

The Indice General de la Bolsa de Madrid (IGBM) Management Committee has decided, in accordance with technical provisions for the composition, calculation and sectorial division of the IGBM index family, to approve the composition of the IGBM and Indice Total indices for the first half of 2007.

Bursa Malaysia Amends Listing Requirements In Relation To Financial Assistance And Public Spread
Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") today announced amendments to the Listing Requirements and the MESDAQ Market Listing Requirements in relation to the provision of financial assistance and public shareholding spread. The amendments are aimed at enhancing the disclosure practices among listed companies and strengthening investor protection.

Thailand Depository Offers Bond Lending And Borrowing
Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. (TSD) now provides bond lending and borrowing. The service, which began on December 25, 2006, will boost liquidity in the bond market, lower TSD members’ costs, reduce processing time, and minimize settlement defaults.

Thai Bourse To Launch New TV Program In January
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is about to launch a new, live TV program, “Keeping Up the Beat with 5 Markets”, broadcasting on UBC 97 (cable TV) and Channel 5 (free TV), from January 3, 2007, Monday to Friday, 09:30 – 10:00 hours. The program will be produced by Family Know-How Co., Ltd., a SET subsidiary.

Turnover On Stock Exchanges In Germany Rises To 5 Trillion Euros In 2006 - XTF Segment With Record Figures
Based on the preliminary year-end figures for 2006, which include an estimate for the last two trading days of the year, a total volume of about 5 trillion euros will be traded on the stock exchanges in Germany in 2006 - this represents an increase of 32 percent year-on-year (2005: 3.8 trillion euros).
