HKEx Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 7 August 2008 (Thursday), 10 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 51 existing designated securities will be removed from the list. The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 504 after the revision.

Vienna Stock Exchange Signs Cooperation Agreement With Tokyo Stock Exchange

The Vienna Stock Exchange today (VSE) announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tokyo Stock Exchange, expanding its international network. The agreement is the fourth cooperation agreement with a non-European stock exchange for the VSE, who has similar arrangements with Almaty, Dubai and Shanghai. Additionally, the Vienna Stock Exchange has established a firm position in CEE based on nine MoUs signed with Central and East European stock exchanges.
