ISE Eliminates Fees For Premium Options Products - Members Will Pay Zero Transaction Fees For Customer Orders In All Multiply-Listed ETF And Index Options

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) today announced that it has eliminated customer transaction fees for Premium Products, which include multiply-listed exchange-traded fund (ETF) and index options.* The popular Powershares QQQ Trust Series 1 (Ticker: QQQQ) will continue to be offered at no charge for customer orders. The new fee schedule will take effect on May 1, 2009.

FINRA To Propose Expanding BrokerCheck To Permanently Disclose Disciplinary Histories Of Former Brokers - Final Regulatory Actions By The SEC, Regulatory Organizations And The States To Be Included

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) is proposing a major expansion of its BrokerCheck service — to make records of final regulatory actions against brokers permanently available to the public, regardless of whether they continue to be employed in the securities industry. Under current rules, a broker's record generally becomes unavailable to the public two years after he or she leaves the securities industry and is therefore no longer under FINRA's jurisdiction.

UK’s Financial Services Authority Chairman Expands On Themes From Turner Review

April 2009 Monthly Preliminary Performance Report Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Indexes

The Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index was up 1.14% for the month of April. The Dow Jones-AIG Single Commodity Indexes for Tin, Nickel and Lead had the strongest gains with month-to-date returns of 21.81%, 17.01%, and 12.88%, respectively. The three most significant downside performing single commodity indexes were Natural Gas, Corn and Cocoa, which were down -13.12%, -6.99%, and -6.52% respectively, in April.

The Council adopted a directive amending directives 98/26/EC on settlement finality in payment and securities settlement systems and 2002/47/EC on financial collateral arrangements as regards linked systems and credit claims (3742/08 REV2), following a first reading agreement with the European Parliament.

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) hereby announces the market closure schedule for the 2009 Labor Day according to the "SSE Holiday Schedule for 2009" (Shang Zheng Jiao Zi [2008] No.22). The SSE will close from May 1 (Friday) to May 3, 2009 (Sunday) and open for trading on May 4, 2009 (Monday).
