Following the merger by incorporation of ASM Brescia SpA into AEM SpA (S&P/MIB index constituent), Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/MIB Index effective, using closing prices after the close of trading Friday, January 4, 2008: A2A SpA (formerly AEM SpA) (Italy, ISIN: IT0001233417, GICS: Utilities) a member of the S&P/MIB Index, shares will increase to 3,132,905,277. NASDAQ Obtains Clearance From The Committee On Foreign Investment In The United States - Plans For Proposed Acquisition Of OMX AB On Track - NASDAQ Formally Withdraws Stand-alone Offer For OMX, Will Proceed With Acquisition of OMX From Borse Dubai
The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announced that it has obtained clearance from The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) concerning Borse Dubai's investment in NASDAQ, which will allow it to proceed with its plans to combine with Stockholm-based OMX AB (publ) (OMX). NASDAQ and Borse Dubai Limited (Borse Dubai) had previously voluntarily submitted their agreement to CFIUS for review.

Warsaw Stock Exchange: Debuts In 2007 – 105 New Companies, A Record Breaking IPO Value
A record breaking 81 new companies made their debut on main WSE market in 2007, with another 24 debuting in the newly launched alternative market NewConnect. This beats WSE’s previous record of 62 newly listed companies in 1997. The value of IPOs in 2007 also peaked at more than PLN 18.2 Bln (EUR 5.05 Bln). OMX Complies With Tax Board Ruling
OMX will comply with ruling stipulated by The Swedish Tax Board in 2004. As a consequence, OMX will carry a VAT surcharge of around SEK 85 million as a one-off operating cost in the fourth quarter of 2007. The surcharge will have no cash flow effect. For 2008, OMX estimates a negative impact on operating income of approximately SEK 3 million.
