The London Metal Exchange (LME) has confirmed that market participants will be able to start trading new minor metals contracts for molybdenum and cobalt from 22nd February, 2010.

Eurex Clearing announced today that Eurex Credit Clear as the first central counterparty (CCP) in the world successfully cleared a single name credit default swap (CDS). The cleared transaction had a notional value of €5 million, the single name CDS is based on RWE.

Due to the extension of the main trading session for all trading modes the odd lot trading session will be held from 6:30 to 6:45 pm MSK on the last trading day of the week except for the securities trading on RTS Standard. For these instruments the odd lot trading session will be introduced later. There will be a further notice regarding it.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) today (Friday) published a consultation paper which seeks the public's views regarding a proposed framework to accept the use of Mainland accounting and auditing standards and Mainland audit firms endorsed by the Ministry of Finance and the China Securities Regulatory Commission by Mainland incorporated companies listed in Hong Kong for the purposes of the Listing Rules.

NASDAQ OMX Stockholm AB, part of the NASDAQ OMX Group (NASDAQ:NDAQ) reports that the NASDAQ OMX Nordic and NASDAQ OMX Stockholm Boards of Directors have approved implementation of revisions in its takeover rules and listing requirements. The revisions will be effective October 1st 2009.
