RTS Stock Market Weekly Trading Results: October 20th – 24th, 2008

Over the week of October 20th – 24th, 2008, the RTS Index went down by 17,70% to reach 549,43 points (667,62 points as of October 17th, 2008). Most of the negative impact on the Index dynamics was related to the falling prices for Sberbank ordinary shares (SBER) (minus 33,47 points), Gazprom ordinary shares (GAZP) (minus 20,21 points) and ??? "LUKOIL" ordinary shares (LKOH) (minus 17,99 points).

The total open interest as of the last day of the week, October 24th, 2008 reached 82,2 bln. roubles or 2,5 mln. contracts.

State Aid: European Commission Approves German Support Scheme For Financial Institutions
