Eurex To Expand Its Commodity Index Derivatives Offering - Introduction Of Six More Futures On Dow Jones UBS Commodity Indices On 28 June

The international derivatives exchange Eurex announced today that it will be introducing six additional commodity index futures on 28 June. The new futures are based on the Dow Jones UBS commodity index family's sub-indices: softs, grain, precious metal, ex-energy, petroleum and livestock. First ETFs Backed By Physical Commodities In Japan To Be Listed

The four exchange-traded funds with gold, platinum, silver and palladium as the underlying assets, which have recently been set up jointly by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust & Banking Corp. and Mitsubishi Corporation, have been approved for listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on July 2, 2010. These are the first ETFs backed by physical precious metals held domestically.
